JOSEPH ALLEN & SONS
Oak Works, Sheffield, England
ca. 1864-1925 Cutlery of all kinds.

This cut throat razor has a 6/8” Hollow ground blade.
It has Black Celluloid scales with a lead spacer.
Engraved on the tang are the words
“NON XLL Joseph Allen & sons Sheffield England”
On the blade there is “Hollow Ground NON XLL”

 Condition.

 Razor.  I have Cleaned the razor & it has left some pitting on the tang, spine & blade.

The hone wear is heavy. There are no chips or cracks in the blade
The scales have a few small bug bites & a crack at the wedge end.
Not shave ready.

Eastman and Krauss Razor Company
98, Chambers Street, New York 
Eastman Krauss Razor Company manufactured razors and strops.
Seen on an ad from 1891.

 This cut throat razor has a 11/16” Hollow ground blade.
It has Black Celluloid scales with a white spacer.
Engraved on the tang are the words “KRAUSS”
On the reverse is “Best English Hollow Ground”

 Condition.

 Razor.  I have Cleaned the razor & it has left a lot of pitting on the spine & blade top with some on the tang,

 The hone wear is medium. There are no chips or cracks in the blade. The scales have a couple of small ships & some scratches.
Not shave ready.

GEORGE BUTLER & CO
Trinity Works, Sheffield, England
ca. 1848-1926. The "ART" trade mark was granted to Butler in 1861.

This cut throat razor has a 11/16” Hollow ground blade.
It has Black Horn scales with a lead spacer.

Engraved on the tang are the words
 “George Butler & Co Trinity Works Sheffield”
On the reverse is “B 201/2”
On the blade there is
 “Butlers Famous Yorkshire Bite Razor Hollow Ground”

Condition.

 Razor.  I have Cleaned the razor, it has been re-ground It appeared to have been a ¼ hollow but would be more like a wedge now.

It has been used little since the re-grind. There are no chips or cracks in the blade & the scales are fine. Not shave ready
